Spuds Mackenzie first made his appearance in a Bud Light Super Bowl commercial in 1987. The dog played a male but was actually a female Bull Terrier named Honey Tree Evil Eye. References to Spud can be found in a Kanye West song, "Futurama", "Parks and Recreation", and "Golden Girls". Spuds passed on in 1993 as the old dog age of 10.
